I am passionate about this project because ever since working with with first semester freshman students as an instructor and a librarian, I have long wanted to find a way to work and learn with librarians and educators to better equipt students for the demanding needs of balancing college life and academia. By working with school librarians and teachers, we have the opportunity to impact students early on through inquiry learning and strategies for active enagement. By working outside of our individual library type, we can better prepare students for the challenges and truimphs of navigating the world of information and misinformation, and be better collegues ourselves.
